About the Museum
In 1942, amateur historians Patsy McMahon and Marie Rozier, both descended from pioneering families, began collecting treasures and stories from Tuolumne families with the dream of establishing a local museum.

Through their perserverance and the efforts of so many over the past 70 plus years, Tuolumne has a charming museum. As always it is a community treasure.
